COVID-19, Resilience and Solidarity of the Citizens of Longueuil
The year 2020 was marked by COVID-19 and its consequences, both social and economical, for our citizens and organizations as well as for our merchants and our restaurant owners. Throughout this crisis, the people of Longueuil have shown their resilience in the face of adversity and shown solidarity, while many of our fellow citizens were going through difficult times or faced grief. As the Quebec government declared a health emergency on March 13, 2020, and the first lockdown was put in place, we all had to adjust to this new reality. The City of Longueuil had to quickly put in place the necessary measures to ensure that services to the population were maintained, in compliance with public health directives.
